Following in the Tevis Cup and WS100 tradition: Point to Point runs and a River Crossing!
Created by the legendary Ann Trason, the Overlook Endurance Runs primarily follow the historic Western States trail. While the races have different starting locations, they finish at the same place: Overlook Park in Auburn.
Due to on-going property access along Cal Street, we will start the 50k at Driver's Flat this year. the route will go up to Cal2 to turn around and then continue on the original route to Overlook. We hope to go back to Foresthill next year..
The 25K run starts at the top of Drivers Flat Road. After a swooping descent down Drivers Flat to the Tevis Cup Trail, it then merges with the 50K course to Auburn.
Highlights for all distances include following old mining roads and trails along the river, holding onto a rope as you wade the river at the historic Poverty Bar crossing used for decades by horse riders, passing the ruins of the Mountain Quarries, crossing the famous No Hands Bridge and passing Robie Point on the way to the finish at the American River Canyon Overlook. And YES, all distances will have a river crossing!

Cancellation Policy:
We have a NO REFUND, DEFERRAL OR TRANSFER POLICY. It is very expensive and time consuming to organize and produce a trail running event. Most costs (swag, insurance, application and permit fees, emergency services, preparation time, etc.) have been incurred well in advance. Even a small percentage of runners requesting refunds, deferrals or transfers would be prohibitive. Thank you for your understanding.
