Everything right about trail running is found here: a celebration of community, the strength of the human spirit, the environment, and a very challenging event. This trail race takes us back to the beginning of ultra-running: a purposely small and intimate event, capped at 200 runners.

At 75, Eldrith is a legend in the Bay Area running community. She started ultra-running long before the internet or Ultrasignup.com tracked results and no one knows how many ultras Eldrith completed. We know of 172 events in the last 27 years that she completed, including:
  • 148 Ultra Marathons
  • Four 100-mile trail races, including Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run
  • Forty-four 50-mile trail races
  • Fifty-eight 50km trail races
  • 12 Quad Dipsea finishes, and she is the current 70-79 age group record holder

This new race is Eldrith’s actual training run! If you want to “be like Eldrith” and celebrate the best of trail running, this event is a must! Don’t miss out on this race.

It is difficult to find a single course that utilizes some of the sports most beloved trails but Eldrith has strung them into a unique and challenging run. Eldrith has four distance options:

50k As Eldrith says, “This 50k is not for weenies.” It starts at Santos Meadows on Mt Tam, heading to Muir Beach, through Muir Woods National Monument and down the world famous Dipsea stairs to Mill Valley, back up the stairs through Muir Woods to Cardiac Hill, down to Stinson Beach, back up to Cardiac via the renowned Steep Ravine trail, ending with a fast downhill to Santos Meadows.

36k Similar to the 50k but removes the Muir Beach loop and one tough climb.

Half-Marathon Leaves Santos Meadow for Muir Beach, continues through Muir Woods National Monument, down the World Famous Dipsea Stairs to Mill Valley, and returns to the finish via Muir Woods.

11k Enjoy a fast trail to Muir Beach and a fast trail to the finish, with one tough climb in-between!

This is the ideal training run for the upcoming Quad Dipsea as Eldrith’s finishing results demonstrate.
